• Months of Application : July and August
  Our regular call for residency applications takes place once a year. (More details will be posted on the official website.)
• Target Genres : Visual arts (For more information, please read a 'Call for Artists' notice on the notice bulletin)
• Eligible Applicants : applicants' whose aim coincides with our mission and vision as a basic criteria.
  • Applicants with growth potential in their art genres
  • Applicants' level of interest in the public and local community
  • Applicants' initiative to collaborate with artists working in diverse fields
• Residency Period :
  6 months or 1 year (Existing artists in residence can reapply from the year of 2010. Maximum residency period is 2 years.)

• Online from the year of 2011.

• A selection committee comprising outside experts conducts a rigorous and fair selection.
• Procedure: Application Review -> Presentation Evaluation -> Final Choice
  
  ※ The applicants selected after the application review will have the opportunity to give a presentation.
  ※ In case of applicants who are resident in foreign countries, evaluation of a presentation will not be necessary.

• Successful applicants will be announced on the official website of Seoul Art Space_ Geumcheon, Seoul Art Space and Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture and successful candidates will be contacted and informed of the result.

• The relationship between the selected artist and Seoul Art Space_ Geumcheon is laid down in a contract. Only Candidates who accept the contract may begin the residency and use the facilities.
  Artists will be sent the schedule regarding the contract.
• A copy of the business license (or a copy of the resident registration) and a registered seal will be required when signing the contract.

• the workspaces must be used for a minimum 15 days per month.
• active participation in some activities including Open Studio and various presentations run by Seoul Art Space_ Geumcheon is required.
• a monthly fee of 5,000 won per pyeong for workspace rental must be paid by artists.
  
  *Non-Korean artists do not need to pay the rental fee.
• Artists in residence are to abide by the rules and regulations of Seoul Art Space_ Geumcheon.
